A Birthday Wish from Jayson…..
My son, Jayson David Coffman, was born on May 17, 1979 and his mortal body died Sept 24, 1999.
Jayson was enlisted in the U.S. Army and stationed at Ft Story , VA. He did not die in the war, but fought a battle far more difficult then open fire. He fought his battle here at home in the U.S. where he suffered under the negligence of Army command. He was found hanging on Army property only 5 minutes from his barracks.
He is not dead. They took his body, but could not kill his voice, for I, his mother, am now his voice.
Until last year, we would not celebrate his birthday because it was way too painful. Last year we had cake. This year I asked him what he wants for his birthday and he states to my heart, “Peace on earth”.
So, here is the deal. On Jayson’s Birthday we are throwing him a “World Peace Birthday Bash”. This is his heart’s wish, “that everyone who desires to stand for peace to light a candle and keep it burning all of May 17th “ (on his birthday).
His message:
“ We are all “the Light”. We are all capable of peace in our hearts. I was never rich or famous on earth. I was an average everyday person who just really wanted the world to be a better place. I could not make that happen, but YOU all can. I don’t desire to diminish the love of all the others who have given their lives so that others can learn. So I dedicate this day to world peace in the honor of all of us; those who gave their mortal lives and those who desire in their hearts more light and more love in the world. We can do this together. The candle stands for the love that we all share together. If we can make a promise to have peace and embrace love as one for just one full day, 24 hours, then we can have peace for a lifetime. There is no REAL time. We are eternal. This is my wish and my hope to see all the beautiful candles, symbols of the light and love we share, all shining from earth, all hearts that stand for peace, loving one another, and laying down their differences to make this love a union that we can all feast upon and enjoy. One candle, multiplied many times equals light years of love to spread and ignite hearts all over the world. Please grant me my wish. “
Send this message to everyone you can. We have ONE month to plan. There will be a webpage at thelilaccenter.com dedicated to the Lights all over on behalf of Jayson’s wish. Let’s give him the ‘lightshow ‘ of his life! If you can offer assistance by spreading this message in any way you can to as many people as you can, then please feel free to make this also your project! We are “in this” together!
Send an email (subject Jayson’s Wish) to revjenine@thelilaccenter.com and let me know your name, location and that you have your candle lit on May 17th. I will be placing all the names and locations of the ‘lights” on the webpage throughout the whole day! You will be able to check back and see all the beautiful lights that have lit the universe on that day! Also please remember that YOU are the greatest love and light ever created!
We give you our sincere thanks for love, peace and the light of life!
